Mercia Collegiate Sixth Form will really challenge any individual who wishes to apply.
There will be a need for pupils to be determined as they undertake the application process.
We know that character is important, and we want to offer an opportunity for that to shine.
At Mercia Collegiate Sixth Form, we offer traditional, academically rigorous A Level subjects.
Entry requirements
The minimum qualification for entry into Mercia Collegiate Sixth Form is:
- A grade 7 or higher in each of the subjects intended to be studied at A level
- A grade point average of 7.0 across all GCSEs studied (minimum of 8 subjects)
- A minimum of grade 5 in English Language and Mathematics, regardless of the subjects studied at A Level
Our admissions process
Applications for the following academic year open in the October prior.
Applications are made digitally using this link.
The admissions process includes the following key steps:
- A 45-minute examination in two out of three subjects chosen. Pupils need to pass these examinations to be invited to the next round of the admissions process.
- Pupils who pass the aptitude examinations will be offered an interview.
- The aptitude examinations and interview will be considered, with places offered to individuals who pass both components.

We are pleased to invite prospective scholars and their families to our upcoming open events at Mercia Collegiate Sixth Form. These events provide a unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the exceptional education and support we offer. The events usually take place in October and November of each academic year.
