We believe that the most successful pupils commit to embracing all that school has to offer them. The enrichment curriculum at Mercia School promotes pleasure and passion in learning outside the classroom. All pupils take part and enjoy access to a wide range of new experiences and subjects.
Enrichment and electives
The enrichment curriculum is available Monday – Thursday and it commences at 4pm until the end of the school day at 5pm. 100% of pupils participate. The enrichment curriculum includes:
The Arts
Celebrating music, drama and art through concerts and showcases. We run a full-scale musical every academic year.
Sport
We believe in competition and all pupils are expected to participate in school sport. We fulfil every Sheffield school sport fixture asked of us.
Duke of Edinburgh
All pupils complete at least the Certificate of Achievement, with many going on to Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.
